Monday, Monday! I am learning to tame the chaos with a solo cup of coffee to gather my thoughts before the girls wake up and yoga, lots of yoga. Did you see my yoga giveaway on Instagram? Monday is also a great day for the girls and I to work together in the kitchen. My youngest daughter, who I call “Little Miss” has been making my lunch and asked me to film her. Hosting a ladies luncheon can be intimidating, especially when it is a large group of ladies. I recently prepped lunch for Fresno's La Feliz Guild, an organization that raises funds for Valley Children's Hospital. Our big Derby Down event is less than a month away so everyone is in full prep mode. The lunch meeting was held at the beautiful home of one of my dearest friends, her kitchen created the perfect scene to present the food in. With spring in the air, you may be planning a lunch for some girl friends so today I am sharing the menu and recipes from our luncheon.

This time of year has always been so bitter sweet for me. I love absolutely love Summer. As a kid, I loved the freedom found in summer to hang out with friends, read books, swim, sleep and enjoy long days. While I was always sad to see Summer go, by the end, I was looking forward to getting back into a routine, the welcomed change in weather, and reuniting with friends. As an adult, I still feel the same way, even my daughter asked me when the weather will change. It's time to start thinking about getting back into a routine to make school mornings easier, especially now that we have 2 kids that I will have to get out the door by 8am. Check out these ideas for making school lunches to go.
