New Year's Eve Sparklers- Sparkling wine 3 ways

New Year's Cocktails- sparkling wine 3 ways

My mom has taught be some pretty crazy New Year’s traditions, like banging pots and pans at midnight to make as much noise as possible in order to scare off evil spirits. She also says it’s bad luck to do laundry or take out trash on New Year’s Day which has left me scrambling to clean my entire house today. I decided to clean out the closets and pantries that have been neglected for the past year so I’m pretty sure I’ll be cleaning up until midnight.

Who am I kidding, I will most likely not be able to stay awake that late. Lately I’ve been calling 10pm bed time which for those of you who know me, know that’s REALLY freaking early for me. There is just something about winter that makes my eyes heavy and my body lethargic and I have to surrender to the comforting embrace of my pillow and bed.

So tonight we will be celebrating a Netflix New Year (not even an East Coast New Year’s celebration) watching Boss Baby and Spirit ring in 2019 with our girls. That doesn’t mean we won’t celebrate with a little bubbly. A few years ago for an ABC30 segment I shared 3 recipes to spice up your bubbly. Try out one, or all 3, of the recipes to ring in 2019. Happy New Year friends.
