Having a baby is one of the best things that has ever happened to me but in the immediate weeks after giving birth my back and shoulders were killing me. I tried to maintain my workouts during pregnancy but my abs couldn't keep up with my quickly expanding stomach, so after birth, the muscles were very weak. Over the past 4 months, combined with frequent trips to The Bar Method, I have been doing abs exercises at home with some direction from my PT husband, working to strengthen my core and releive my lower back pain.

As a busy pregnant lady with a toddler it is hard to keep up a work out regimen. During my first pregnancy I continued Spin classes at the gym until I noticed by heart rate was getting to high to be safe for the baby, so I stopped & just walked but didn't do any resistance training. I was determined to stay more toned this time around especially since I heard it's harder for your body to recover after the 2nd child.
